Our once-great land is threatened.
I have learned of a great danger, stronger than steel or fire. The vampiric infestation has allowed our crops to rot, as we stopped tilling the earth and tilled the veins of humanity instead. This winter will be harsh, and we must be strong. Stronger than we have ever been. In light of the cold and the invasions, we cannot afford to let our commoners go unclothed. The monsoons will turn to autumn and snow, and our people will die in the saddest of ways, hungry and cold. We cannot allow this threat to our Duchy to continue.
When winter comes, I will sound the bells of feasting. No loyal citizen shall go hungry, and there will be merriment and renewal in the spring time. And rest assured, I will put clothes on those who have none.
I pledge to do everything in my power to save Pegasus Valley and help it grow. The first step is to declare my intention to run for Regent of Pegasus Valley.
By giving me your vote, we can make Pegasus Valley flourish in the arts and prosper. They shall sing of our glories long.
Long live the Valley,

Pegasus Valley's new sister chapter within the Amtgard Sister Park project is the Duchy of the Frost Lands, in the Kingdom of the Rising Winds(located mundanely in Oshkosh, Wisconsin). The Amtgard Sister Park project is intended to help build strong inter-park relationships and promote growth between established Amtgard chapters. As part of the project, we will be obligated to send a care package to the Frost Lands before September, full of neat items from Pegasus Valley. If you have ideas or donations, you can contact me(Lurker), as I am representing our park in this project.
I think we're going to do a great job, and I am excited to see what the Duchy of the Frost Lands sends us!
Ash came out as the clear nobody-can-beat-him winner from part one of the quest. Unfortunately, due to time constraints, we couldn't do part two today.
For those of you who got zero, one, or two scrolls: fear not! You still have a chance! Inspired by today's success, I have decided to also award another sword to the 2nd place winner as determined by next week's ninja tournament(part 2 of the ninja competition). There are potentially 2 scrolls available next week if you win lots of fights, so be prepared to show off your ninja combat skills.
The tournament shall have three parts:
1) Single short sword
2) Single polearm
All of which shall be run in single-elimination format. If you win a certain number of fights, you earn one of the last available scrolls. Since you could potentially win both scrolls and beat out anyone who has two from this week, this means that people who missed this week's game could still come in second place(people like Glenalth).
